The Southern Region Chess League (SRCL) is the constituent arm of the Chess Association of Malawi (CHESSAM), the national chess governing body.
This site has been set up to facilitate communication between the League and its member clubs and chess players.
It's an initiatives aimed at moving chess from a minor into a major sporting discipline in the country.

The League comprises over 12 chess clubs primarily located in Blantyre, Zomba and Mwanza districts.
It is one of the most active chess leagues in the country.
The Southern Region Chess League promotes, encourages, controls and advances the game of Chess within the Southern Region of the country, and co-ordinates the activities of its members.
